Back-to-the-Basics: FOCUS

I’ll tell ya, Cleveland has some crazy weather.

Yesterday when I woke up it was snowing pretty good (I guess mother nature didn’t get the memo that it’s Spring).  Looked like we had about half an inch to an inch of the white stuff all over the yard.  By the afternoon… it was all gone.  Not a trace left (thanks sun!!!).

So what does Cleveland’s weather have to do with today’s ‘Back-to-the-Basics?’  Well, more than you think…

You see, Cleveland’s weather doesn’t know how to ‘FOCUS’ on any one thing.  One minute it’s raining, the next it’s snowing, then the next it’s -8F and the next day it’s 60F.  Sometimes the sun decides to shine for about 5 minutes before being covered with clouds.  Cleveland weather just can’t make up it’s mind!

And, the key word today is…

FOCUS

You should focus on all of your marketing campaigns.  It’s ok to have multiple campaigns running at the same time, but don’t lose focus for that new shining object off in the distance.

If you’re going to do postcards, then use postcards!  Don’t just do the ‘one-and-done’ type method, where you mail 100 postcards, didn’t get any responses, and then say, “Postcards don’t work.”

You must FOCUS and try again.  Send out 1,000 postcards, with an offer and a Call-to-Action.

test-Test-TEST

Once you start focusing on your marketing campaigns, instead of running off for the new shining object, you’ll open up a whole new world!

How do I know?  Well… I have problems focusing too.  But, when I do focus, everything seems to come together.

Now get outta here and go take…  You know, better yet.  Now go get FOCUSED!
