Back-to-the-Basics: Marketing Triangle

Welcome to another “Back-to-the-Basics” Monday!

Today, I want to share with you Dan Kennedy’s Results Marketing Triangle he bases all of his marketing campaigns off of, and you should too!

“You have to get the RIGHT MESSAGE to the RIGHT MARKET using the RIGHT MEDIA.”

Right Message, Right Market, Right Media

There’s no other way around it.  You must get all three of these right for your marketing campaigns to succeed!

I’d also like to add one more thing to the middle of the triangle and that’s… “at the RIGHT TIME.” 

Though, it’s not always necessary, since you won’t always know when the right time is, but, for example, if you’re a roofer you could have postcards ready to be mailed out when high winds and hail strike a neighborhood.  You could then get the message out the next day for a free roof inspection following the high winds and hail.  There’d be no reason for someone not to contact you!

So, the next time you’re creating a marketing campaign be sure to remember:

“You have to get the RIGHT MESSAGE to the RIGHT MARKET using the RIGHT MEDIA at the RIGHT TIME.”
