Let’s be real… We all have the same 24 hours in a day. Sure, it seems like some people have 327 hours in a day and others have 2 hours in a day, but we all have 24 hours in a day.
So, how do top performers, CEOs, the ones who are succeeding, get more things done in 24 hours than the average joe?
It’s called Discipline.
Say you want to learn a new hobby. Where will you find time in your busy day? Hmm… let’s see… Maybe instead of 10 hours of sleep you could get 9 hours and use the extra hour to practice your new hobby.
Maybe you want to write a book. The boob tube is only rotting your brain (I’m sure your brain looks like mush right now), you can surely stop watching just one hour of TV and start writing your book. Heck, stop watching the 10 o’clock news. There is nothing ever good on the news any ways.
In the past year, I have been reading more than I’ve ever read before in my life. I find one hour and read. I may not read one book for that whole hour, I may switch it up and read two books (read one chapter of each book or how ever many I need to read to fill that hour). This keeps things interesting and my brain juices flowing.
I barely watch any TV anymore and I feel more productive. (STOP WATCHING TV)
I’ve written a Home Sellers’ Guide our real estate business. I put a picture of the book on our postcards and homeowners call us to get a copy. GREAT lead generation, and to think… I wrote this during my one hour a day productive time. Hmm… One Hour A Day Productive Time… I like it!
This is why successful people are successful. They have discipline to use their time wisely.
What can you cut out of your day to gain an extra hour a day?
Now go take action!
