Now That Was A GREAT Time

Wow!  My wife and I had a GREAT time on vacation this past week.

Every year we visit my dad in Virginia Beach. There is always something new and fun to do.

This year, the hit of the vacation was when my wife decided she wanted to go zip lining (You know, that long line high off the ground where you only have a little harness that keeps you from smashing your bones against the ground).

Well, she went to good ole Google and found www.GoApe.com.  Yep, they have zip lining, but you have to go through an obstacle course to get to the zip line (Gotta make you work for it).  Actually, they have five obstacle courses that you go through, and each course gets harder, higher, and a longer zip line.

I’ll tell you what… I had a blast!  Sure, you need to have some upper body strength (I thought I was going to pass out on the third obstacle, and every muscle in my body was sore for four days afterwards) and the mind to not give up, but in the end it was all worth it.

It feels good when you’re nervous to make the tarzan jump, and other people are cheering you on saying you can do it.  It definitely helps.

Wow, what a blast!

I highly suggest checking Go Ape out if you’re ever near one of them.  I love their saying… “Live Life Adventurously.”  You never know what’s out in the world or what you’re capable of until you TRY.

Now, you’re probably thinking what in the world does this have to do with marketing?  Well, not much.  I just decided to share my experience with all of you because I had a blast and overcame some fears of falling high up in the trees.

But, there is one thing I’ll share with you.  Go Ape has GREAT customer service.  The staff was very friendly.  They showed us on to use our safety harnesses, go through a mini obstacle with them right by our side (after this mini lesson we are free to go as we please), and even provided water and help at each obstacle incase we needed it.

The instructors were not always with us through the obstacles (we get to experience this at our own pace), but they are always walking around incase we need something.

Also, at the end of the course, they gave us a Certificate of Completion with our names on them.  Now that’s a framer!  They also send out an email asking for a testimonial (marketing lesson) and give us a free t-shirt if we visit another one of their locations (offer).

So, anywhoo, go check out www.GoApe.com for yourself and let me know what you think.

Live Life Adventurously!

Now go take action!
